The historic «Innere Enge» has been a popular excursion destination for the people of Bern since the early 18th century.
Distinguished visitors include the Empress Josephine (wife of Napoleon I) who was guest of honour on the occasion of a «Grand Déjeuner» in 1810. The «Innere Enge» was completely renovated in 1992 and with much love and dedication to detail, transformed into a delightful hotel.

The superb establishment, set in an oasis of green, rapidly became a favourite rendezvous for politicians, businessmen and artists, and at the same time, a popular «homefrom- home» for international masters of jazz and their fans. |
